why do you do that? I always thought overfilling the oil might result in something mentioned
here. I use synthtic as well, but I always try to keep the level meticulously between the marks.
However, on my last service in spring this year I slightly overfilled and since I didn't want
to open up the oil draining screw again to avoid another mess I drained some of the oil with a
transparent hose. Which was a pain in the neck. It is still slightly overfilled, but no harm so far.
